Arrival

So, I have arrived... here I sit on an air mattress on the floor in an otherwise nearly empty rowhouse apartment in Baltimore. Removed from my Dearest wife, family, friends and the comforts of consistent 75 degree mostly-sunny weather. How did this happen?? Oh yes...

I decided that 7 years of school (two don't count) and a quiet steady job were not enough. I felt the need to expand, explore and experience... more. An MFA in Graphic Design? Of course! I am intrigued by the possibilities and enlightened by the potential. I crave something that, at the moment, looks like nothing (how existential). I do not know what to expect. A new adventure to put in the books I suppose. It's tantalizing, really. I have ideas that I would like to jump on, rip open and sink my teeth into. Sounds awfully carnivorous, but then I do like meat... and cheese. I must be hungry.

I have also decided that I will be writing about this journey. Because, after all, isn't that part of the experience, to share it with others? I am not a good blogger, or maybe it's just that I have not tried. I am usually a very reserved person (who me?). But I will try. Except, I never really know where to start.

So, I have arrived... not quite a destination, but certainly a point of interest...
